Our Story……So Far

Life's a breeze is a family run business, dealing with Telescopic Flag Poles, Windsocks ,Flags, Kites, Tents, Awnings, and Caravan & Motorhome Accessories.

Background

Life's a breeze was founded in 2007 by husband and wife, Clive and Julie Netherway based in North Devon.

Clive was previously a senior manager within a food chain for 30 years and  looked for a new lifestyle change.Clive and Julie have always had a passion and enjoyment for camping, caravanning and motorhoming, with their two children, when travelling around the UK in the school holidays and weekends.

Their family passion for camping and caravanning led to the opening of Life's a Breeze.

They are lucky to live and be based in the beautiful area of North Devon, surrounded by glorious golden beaches', and stunning green countryside's. The expansion over the past 13 years has been momentous, starting from a single laptop in a house, to a retail unit with several employees. In 2017 they opened up the doors to a brand unit to welcome the public in and come see their vast range of products.

Life's a breeze has over the past 10 years developed a range of self branded Life's a breeze products, such as telescopic flag poles, windsocks, kites and LED lights. They also sell a vast range of camping and caravanning accessories, including a fantastic range of Tents and Awnings.

From the beginning 2017, the company has experience large commercial growth and success within the local area, with the business working closely with other local businesses and newspapers, including the Scene Magazine and the North Devon Gazette.

This year the life's a breeze goal was to develop our business brand not only further online but within the local community, and in the wider North Devon area. This has led to the continued large growth and high levels of returning customers who come back to visit the shop regularly.

Meet the Team

Clive Netherway
Managing Director
Clive started the business in 2007. Clive has 30 years of retail, operations and general management experience that has got Life’s a breeze to where it is today. Clive love the outdoors and is a keen motorcyclist.
 
Julie Netherway
Director
Julie joined life’s a breeze in 2008 to assist Clive to grow the business. Julie has experience in the retail sector and has previously been a teaching assistant. Julie loves to spend quality time with her family especially with her granddaughter.
 
Gemma Rowland
Director
Gemma joined the team in 2012 after completing her BA honours degree in early childhood studies. Gemma deals with sales, general running and PR of the business. She thoroughly enjoys spending quality time with her husband Karl and young daughter.
 
 
Tom Netherway
Director
Tom joined the team in 2015 after completing his BA honours degree in business and administration. Tom deals with the daily operations and IT of the business. In this spear time he loves spending it with his dog ‘Bear’ and he’s a keen motorcyclist like his dad.
 
Karl Rowland
Director
Karl joined the team in 2018 after having a career in the Army, serving in the Royal Military Police. Karl deals with the accounts and wholesale customers of the business. In this spear time, he commits to the Army Reserves as part of the Royal Wessex Yeomanry but thoroughly enjoys spending quality time with his wife Gemma and young daughter.
 
 
Tina French
Warehouse Manager
Tina joined the team in 2015 after having a 15 year career in the catering industry at the local college. Tina manages and oversees the daily running of the warehouse and ensures that orders have been picked , wrapped and shipped correctly. Tina loves cycling, keeping fit and the great outdoors.
 
Claire Netherway
Sales & Admin Assistant
Claire joined the team in 2017 and enjoys being part of the team. Claire has previous experience in sales, and administration, within the travel and tourism sector. Claire loves spending time with her family and camping with her husband and two daughters.
