Telescopic flagpoles are the basic fundamental products needed to display and fly your kites, flags and windsocks completely free standing.

There are 3 types of telescopic flagpoles currently available from Life's a breeze. These are the Ultimate Performance pole, Professional Pole and Travel Pole.

Choosing a telescopic flagpole has never been easier with 3 types to choose from and various colors and sizes to match your liking, to find the right pole for your needs.

Every type of pole has its own unique aspects that make it one of a kind designed for the right person, right environment and the right product making it perfect for your requirements.

About our Telescopic flagpoles

Life's A Breeze Telescopic flagpoles have been meticulously designed for windsock, kite and flag use, with line laundry also being thought of when developing the flagpoles. These poles have been designed and developed over a number of years in the UK by the Life's A Breeze team. Our poles have the thickest construction of any that we have seen or tested.

Our design team have incorporated unique functions to our poles, these include: three strengthening bars in the base section of the pole, this strengthens the main section and shortening of the tip section, this gives the pole incredible strength while maintaining flexibility. The base caps have been designed using strong rubber and hard plastic materials to ensure long lasting durability for our customers.

Our poles have been made from 100% fibre glass with rubber bungs, with no carbon material. This is to ensure complete safety should they unfortunately come into contact with electrical cables, because of the design, no electrical current will conduct. Ensuring our customers remain safe at all times.

The construction of the poles are made in multiple layers of glass fibre ensuring that the thickness of the telescopic walls are such that create the strongest pole in the UK and in Europe, giving the flexibility and assurance for you to know you are getting the best possible product. The telescopic flagpoles have been designed with a high specification durable gloss black finish to keep your flagpole looking as good as new for longer. The flagpoles are not free standing and do require a large carbon fibre ground stake, which are detailed further below.

Types of Flag Poles

The Ultimate Performance Flag Pole
The ultimate performance flagpole is the standard base model of flagpole designed to fly windsocks, line laundry flags and even kites from as low as 3 meters to the outstanding height of 10 meters. As all Life's a breeze flagpoles the ultimate performance flag pole is made of strong reinforced fibreglass and is telescopic in nature with a high gloss finish to allow the highest quality and safety possible. With a strong, fibreglass tip section that is also slightly smaller than the other sections, with a metal eyelet on the top to allow for more ridged and precise control of flying your windsocks or kites. Included with the flagpole are a plastic/rubber screw cap located at the bottom of the pole and a rubber bung at the top of the pole, allowing you to keep your sections contained within your flag pole when collapsed and not in use. This flagpole collapses to the size of 1 meter in height. This flagpole like all others are not freestanding and will require securing to the ground, this can be done through a carbon fibre ground stake or metal jockey wheel clamp detailed further below.
The Professional Flag Pole
The professional flagpole is the upgraded model of the ultimate performance flagpole, designed to fly heavier and larger windsocks, line laundry flags and kites in stronger winds from as low as 4 meters to the brilliant height of 10 meters. As all Life's a breeze flagpoles the professional performance flag pole is made of a stronger reinforced fibreglass and is telescopic in nature with a high gloss finish to allow the highest quality and safety possible. With a stronger, fibreglass tip section that is also thicker and more rigid than the other sections, with a larger metal eyelet on the top which also swivels 360 degrees to allow for more security and precise control of flying your windsocks or kites. Included with the flagpole are a plastic/rubber cap located at the bottom of the pole and a rubber bung at the top of the pole, allowing you to keep your sections contained within your flagpole when collapsed and not in use. This flagpole collapses to the size of 1 meter in height. This flagpole like all others are not freestanding and will require securing to the ground, this can be done through a carbon fibre ground stake or metal jockey wheel clamp detailed further below.
Travel Flag Pole
The travel flagpole is the shortened model of the ultimate performance flagpole, designed for lighter and smaller windsocks, flags and kites in light winds from as low as 4 meters to the great height of 6 meters. As all Life's a breeze flagpoles the travel flagpole is made of a high quality reinforced fibreglass and is telescopic in nature with a high gloss finish to allow the highest quality and safety possible. With a fibreglass tip section with a metal eyelet on the top allows for precise control of flying your windsocks or kites. Included with the flagpole are a plastic/rubber screw cap located at the bottom of the pole and a rubber bung at the top of the pole, allowing you to keep your sections contained within your flagpole when collapsed and not in use. This flagpole collapses to the size of 0.5 meter in height, as this travel pole is designed to collapse to half the size of the other flagpoles to allow easy carry and storage use when travelling with the flagpole. This flagpole like all others are not freestanding and will require securing to the ground, this can be done through a carbon fibre ground stake or metal jockey wheel clamp detailed further below.

Extending and Taking Down Your Flag Pole

Extending the Flag Pole

To extend your flagpole remove the rubber bung located at the top of the pole, gently tilt the pole until the sections inside begin to appear. Locate the smallest section with the metal eyelet on the top and start pulling this section out. As the pole is telescopic each section will be pulled out by the one above it. When you get to a join pull it tight and give it a little twist to secure it in place. When this is done and you have reached the base section of the pole it is ready to be secured. This can be done either by, unscrewing the cap on the bottom and simply put the pole over the ground spike, allowing your pole to be free moving and helping to stop windsocks and flags tangling. Or using a jockey wheel clamp which will attach from your pole to a jockey wheel or other similar paraphernalia.

Taking Your Pole Down

To take down the telescopic flagpole, starting at the base of the pole simply un-twist and let each section gently drop back into the for-mentioned base section. lf you can’t un-twist the pole sections, as in windy weather they can tighten. Hold the base section with one hand, grab the section that won’t un-twist with your other hand and give the pole a firm tap downwards, making sure your hand holding the base is not in the way. This should be all that is needed to loosen and undo the poles and collapse the back to their smallest form.

Flag Pole Accessories

Correct Fixing for all Flag Poles
It is important to use the correct fixing for your flag pole. We strongly recommend that all poles are supported by a ground stake, our Telescopic Flag poles work best when they are allowed to flex along their full length, this ensures that the pole can have full movement when flying flags and windsocks on. If you use any other varying attachments to secure your flag pole, ie. a clamp, or straps to secure to a ladder, bike rack or to a fixed structure, this will have a detrimental effect to the flag pole strength, especially if the wind increases, this can often result in your flag pole breaking. However you can use a clamp to secure the flag pole to a fixed structure but be away that the flagpole will not be as flexible and should only be used to be secured in this manor in low winds.
Ground Spike
The ground spike is a one metre high solid piece of carbon fibre with a point at one end. Take care when handling your ground spike. The end can be very sharp so please keep well away from young children. You will need to get the spike about 30cm into the ground, if you are using more than one spike group them together and either by placing a small block of wood and pushing them using your body weight, or if not you can use a rubber mallet to drive them into the ground.
Installing the Ground Stake
Push the Super Carbon Stake into the ground with a mallet to a third of its height. Unscrew the base cap of your Telescopic flag pole, and place the pole over the carbon ground stake when the pole is also fully extended.
Bungees for Flags
Bungess are small elastic cords with a plastic ball securing the loop together. This product allows you to not only put flags on your pole but also multiple windsocks. To put a flag on your pole, put the loop of bungee through the eyelet on your flag, if you require your flag on the lower thin part of your pole you may need to go around and through the eyelet again. Take the flag to your pole, put the remaining loop one side of the pole, the ball the other side and loop the cord over the ball. Repeat with the second bungee to secure a flag. This method of securing the bungee to the pole is also used for attaching multiple products to the pole using swivel clips.
Swivels
The Swivels and ball bearings on the windsocks do a lot of work spinning, these small metal parts require some maintenance to prolong life and avoid seizing up, apply a small amount of light oil to all the moving parts. You can use these to attach windsocks to the tip section of the pole where the metal eyelet is and also to bungees that can be placed along the sections of your flagpole.
Taking Care of Your Flag Pole
Care of Poles and Windsocks Wind Your poles and windsocks are predominately for summer use and are not designed to stand up to harsh conditions. All poles should be collapsed during any extreme wind or storm conditions. If you are camping and suspect the weather might change overnight it is better to collapse the pole before going to bed or you might have to spend the following morning searching the campsite for your windsock.
